Side note, I just saw Picardo in an episode of Body of Proof, a series that featured Jeri Ryan in the main cast. They didn't have any scenes together so the coincidence didn't hit me until just now.
Just watched the crossover. It felt a bit too forced Wondering if Gibbs and Dale knew each other back in the day. Just don't see Gibbs having a FLETC instructor staying at the cabin unless they have prior history. Timeline suggests Dale left the program within two years Gibbs joined NCIS (mid-1991). And where's (and who's) the "Simon Williams" that's on the wall?
NCIS Los Angeles to end this season https://tvline.com/2023/01/20/ncis-los-angeles-ending-final-season-14-last-episodes/
I was sort of hoping for a token appearance from someone from New Orleans in the crossover episode; maybe Sebastian or Gregorio, just to acknowledge the show.
Well, I guess Paramount Global will now have some more money to devote to NCIS: Sydney, assuming that series is still in-the-works. So the JAGverse's ongoing shows will be down to NCIS, NCIS: Hawai'i and Magnum P.I.
Where's Tennant's daughter? She seems to have disappeared and everytime we saw Jane at home, it's always with her son.
I think there was some throwaway reference earlier in the season to her spending the night at her dad's. I guess she's been staying there. Real world reasons, after checking IMDB I noticed the actress who plays Tennant's daughter is in one of the upcoming Walking Dead spin-offs.
Funny how the JAGverse started on NBC with JAG and was cancelled and then moved to CBS and they've gotten like 50 seasons worth(or maybe more) out of it. Now Magnum PI is on NBC this year after CBS cancelled it so the "JAGverse" exists on two networks. Which isn't unprecedented. We had Homicide/X-files crossover back in the day and I think David Kelly did cross-overs between his shows on different networks when the Practice was on ABC and Ally McBeal was on FOX.... Of course looking at crossovers and shared universe one must be careful not to fall into the Tommy Westphal shared tv universe rabbit hole.
And for a more recent example, I believe the FBI shows exist in the same universe as the Chicago shows.
Wonder if any of those have done what Seinfeld did, simultaneously existing in the Mad about You universe while Susan and George watched Mad about You at home. Surely one of those writers wouldn't be paying attention...
The X-Files was established as being fictional within the shared L&O/Homicide universe, yet in one XF episode, John Munch appears! Also, in Quantum Leap (the original), a character is seen watching Magnum, PI but they were also thinking of doing an episode where Sam leaps in as Thomas Magnum. I think I would have a hard time watching that now. Tom Selleck will always be Frank Reagan to me. Of course I'm biased because Blue Bloods is my favorite TV show of all time. As for crossovers, I think it'd be hilarious if both L&O and Blue Bloods did (separate) crossovers with NCIS. Just to see the steam rising from people's heads as they try to work out who's in whose universe. Edit: I just realized that Necar Zadegan (Hannah Khoury from NCIS:NOLA) was also Bjayzl from ST:Picard!
