That post is ten posts above yours, in this thread.
Who's thread is that???.....
I made a thread in TOS to make up for my laziness here....![]()
Hmmmm... I already treat SNW like it's a reboot anyway, so why not bring on the Phase II Enterprise?
But, on a more serious note, they probably will try to insist "It's not a reboot! It's not a reboot!!! Goddamnit!!!!", have the Enterprise wrecked in a heavy battle, and then refit it into the TOS Enterprise. "See how it all fits?" Then -- not to name names -- some people who are the most against it will change their tune and be like, "The way they did it, it looks great!"
Plus, it's not unreasonable to think SNW might end in 2026. It'll be on its fourth or fifth season. And 2026 just so happens to be the 60th Anniversary of Star Trek. Perfect time to bring out the TOS Enterprise, if they went that way.
I'm going to throw up now.I think if they do anything, giving in and going Alternate universe makes more sense. Imagine a S3 cliffhanger finale where after going thru a wormhole of some kind the SNW comes nose to nose with the TOS Enterprise. “Captain Pike, we are being hailed by…Captain Pike.”

You guys do know they'll probably give the SNW Enterprise a magic refit in the last episode and have a final scene on the Official Set Tour bridge, right? After everyone went mad over the Enterprise-D in Picard it's got to be an idea they're floating about.
Silly as it is.
Wrong.Depends, if they carry on the show into a TOS remake with Paul Wesley it will stay as-is. If it ends with Pike symbolically handing over the ship, there is a pretty high likelihood it will be "refit" into the retro version.
This is still Kurtzman Trek. Along with everything that means. At no point in SNW will we see the Enterprise transformed into the TOS version. At no point.
Because there would be no point to doing such a thing.
I don't even know if they'll do it, which is why I qualified one of my earlier posts with "if they go that way."It would be really weird if it did happen. I’m
Not even sure if I would like it or not.
While not sound proofed or air conditioned to be an actual studio, the Official Star Trek Set Tour was in a previous life used to film a dozen fan films. Owner James Cawley was contacted a couple of years ago about the possibility of Paramout filming there and he gave permission but never heard back. So, I think 1:1 isn't going to happen. Especially not in SNW. There's no budget for it, whatsoever.
