No way... another overtime game won on a last second shot and steal!!!!! You know, I don't care that UConn's loss means one of my Sweet 16 is gone. That was a frelling great game and an incredible upset win for San Diego! Heh, I lost two games today in similar fashion... and I don't care, because they were THAT good.

Damn, that UConn loss hurts. Filling out brackets makes me hate upsets, when I normally love them :D

Even so, you gotta love seeing a 12 seed playing a 13 seed to get to the Sweet 16. Wonder when the last time was that we had such a high "combined" seeding in a game.

As to the UConn loss, they did lose their leader AJ Price very early in the game. But that was still enough time for the Huskies to make some kind of adjustment. Given that they lost in OT on a last second shot, Price's absence had to be the deciding factor here.

I called the West Kentucky upset. Woohoo! I lost my first Sweet 16 team though in UConn. Never expected that.

Get this: The WCC sent a record three teams to the tournament this year. One team is still playing - not Gonzaga, not St. Mary's. San Diego! Wow!

Gah, I picked MSU, St. Joe's, and Vandy, and they're all losing! This evening may completely kill me.

I think I could survive a tough opening round if I get my Final Four and championship picks though. I hope.

I'm giving some credit to Mount St. Mary's for continuing to play hard against North Carolina. Granted... they are the annual sacrificial offering, but MSM has some talent and plenty of heart. Even so... heart can't make up all of the difference when you've given up 60 pts... at halftime. :p

Think UNC will drop 120 on Mount? :)

EDIT: Sigh. There goes St. Joe's. Trying to pick upsets is hard, darn it!

Vandy still has a chance against Siena, and Miss. St. is pretty close to Oregon. This can still turn to my favor.

Oh well, poor St. Joes. Luckily, my bias for Philadelphia teams only existed in the first round, so I expected them to lose afterwards.

No way did I have Sienna over Vandy. Miss St over Oregon was a coin toss. Seriously... that's how I picked MSU to win - not that I knew smething but rather that I didn't. :wtf:

I've mentioned that I'm getting completely and entirely humped in there, right? :(
Last time I gamble on something I don't know about.

The last four games of the first round are looking good for me so far. They'd better, considering the games that have come before.

Think Memphis might lose tonight? It's never happened, but it has to happen someday, you'd think.

All the lower seeds won in Tampa tonight. Why didn't anyone tell me that was the plan???:scream: After most of the favorites won on Thursday, Friday turned into upset city.

Great tourney.:techman:

I am having the worst year in a long, long time. 20/32 yuck!

I do have 13 of my sweet 16 teams left, so there is some, and I say some, hope for me.

Great day for the Madness, but I'm surprised I'm still in it. 24 out of 32 and 2 of my sweet sixteen teams are out. Good news is the 8 are still there but this is a dangerous weekend. It always is and I am excited for it.

Boy was I ever wrong about Villanova. Any team that can get down like that and still keep their composure - even to Clemson - deserves being in the tournament. The coolest thing ...... that region now has TWO 12 vs 13 matchups! First time that has ever happened!
