OMG I don't know much about her or her work, but it shows just how fragile life is. I hope I'm wrong, but it looks like even after she gets out of the hospital her life will be much, much different.

Poor Liam seemed to be enjoying a commercial renaissance, with the surprise hit of Taken. But this puts everything in perspective. I hope she makes a good recovery.

It sounds like she had a subdural hematoma, which is a brain injury that shows complications later. I'm glad to hear the family is denying her death!

The AP wire has her listed in critical condition. It sounds pretty bad.

It just goes to show how fragile the brain is. One bump in the wrong place can do extremely serious damage, even if you don't see any blood or swelling.

She's checked herself out of hospital and is flying back home (http://uk.news.yahoo.com/21/20090317/tuk-actress-leaves-hospital-after-fall-6323e80.html) - doesn't sound dead to me.

Sounds like she has a bad concussion though, which I've experienced myself, and they do like you return to hospital if it doesn't clear up after 24 hours
