It was a hard one, guys; sorry if it was frustrating.
I just rewatched POF the other day and was reminded how silly it was that Scotty was in it for two scenes, and only one with dialogue. I'm glad he was in it, though - any Scotty-less episode automatically gets a demerit from me. Anyway I thought sure Henoch would get it when I mentioned that the subject character repaired to his favorite room - or was it two? 
I got huge kicks out of your guesses and, as usual, learned a ton.

2. Definitely destroys and considering it came from another galaxy, it went out of its way. Unfortunately for me it was by a lot, not a little, but it could be just a figure of speech.

I have a good guess coming, but I want to sleep on it because my brain also works better in the dark. But, thank you for allowing me to sleep by eliminating the obvious choice.

My nighttime pondering gave me two guesses, but they were both "destroyed" by the morning clue.

Good guess given how vague the first clue is, but I believe that Sarek had a change of blood, not heart.
