Nacelle Star Trek action figures

Nothing in the article other than one release a month for a year to celebrate the 60th. I’d bet the first piece comes out sometime this fall maybe in September to coincide with the series debut.

They may need to do another pass on the face sculpts for Wave 2 like they did for wave 1. T’Pol, Carol and Valaris…eesh…

I mean, I get that these are hand-painted masters and not production samples, but yeah not amazing.

More pictures from ToyFair. I love the comparison shot of Uhura and Spock with the bridge piece. Really gives you the sense of scale. That set is going to really be huge. Holy crap.

Yeah, I think there's no way I'll be able to even think about going there!

I'm really impressed with the scale of the figures in relation to each other - that pic of Uhura next to the Romulan Commander really sells it.

I won't be able to resist getting the entire bridge! I've wanted one since I was a little kid watching the reruns in the 70s and the MEGO one I hated as it looked so cheap with its rainbow stripes....

About the only figure whose likeness matches the initial mockups is Generations Kirk. Everyone else... is a mixed bag.

How disappointing.

It's probably for the best that I'm most interested in the Generations royal navy figures because of my sentimental attachment to the Lady Washington.

On the other hand, if they were doing a TMP figure/bridge combo...

So the cruise exclusive will be available to everyone on the Nacelle website sometime next year. Cruise people just get first crack at it and wave 1 starts shipping this month.

The article also shows actual in packaging pics. Not just the mockups we’ve seen on Amazon.

Glad to hear they aren't going Con/Cruise/whatever-exclusive! I HATE that trend!! :censored:

In the video from Toy Fair it was said that the Cruise figures will have a box with different color. The one you then can buy later will have the normal box. So you will get the same figure but not the same box.
Not sure if people will be upset about that, I always take them out and throw the box away.

Looks like each piece of the bridge is gonna be around 50 bucks (US) a piece. So roughly 600 bucks for the full bridge.
I’m not sure how the bridge will work from a marketing/manufacturing perspective. I can see a lot of people getting just a couple of segments, say Spock and Uhura’s stations plus the helm console and captain’s chair, and calling it a day, as that’s a reasonable display for most of the TOS wave.

So are they going to overproduce those segments? Or will everything be produced evenly, but people will just buy those and not the rest and Nacelle is stuck with a bunch of odd segments that no one will buy because people have bought just a couple. Or will everything only be available for preorder only so they can make exact quantities?

I would almost think doing a pre-sale subscription only set up for it might work best. Then maybe have a finite amount of the pieces to sell individually. Or as you say they might be stuck with alot of random segments.

The final piece with the helm console and Captains chair would probably be the only piece you’d want to over-produce for individual sale.

Brian has said it won't be subscription and you can buy what you like.

I don't quite see how the numbers stack up, but I guess that's Nacelle's problem.
