Alternater option: some TVs have a headphine jack, and she can wear them.

Count me as another who loved Schoolhouse Rock when I was a kid.

Hell, I still love it. I have an album called "Schoolhouse Rock Rocks!", which features the songs performed by rock bands. Moby does "Verb: That's What's Happening", Blind Melon does "Three Is A Magic Number," Better Than Ezra does "Conjunction Junction"... well, you get the idea.
