I am resurrecting this thread from the dead because I have news and I wanted to share them.
My mother had her first "big round" of exams since she started her chemotherapy almost 6 months ago. The results came back today and everything looks very good!
Of course, her doctor will give her a more thorough/complete reply in a couple of days after he sees all results together, but I am very happy right now, I hope everything will go OK!

I was so happy with her medical results, however, to be upset with it (I understand that this is at the other end of the world, but it is only temporal and for a short time).
My father told me that the doctor was surprised, as he did not expect it to be *that* clean so he spent a lot of time checking out everything until he was sure.

The doctor said than my mother's scan was completely clean!
My mother had her scheduled chemotherapy today but the doctor said she will not get another one as scheduled. He said that we will make a regular check-up plan for a year or so and that my mother is going to have another scan in 4 months from now to see if any issue arrises.
I am having a hard time to believe this... could it be possible that my mother has escaped danger?
Of course, I know that cancer often finds ways to crawl back and from now on, no matter how many years will pass, we will always have to look out for any signs of it. However, right now, I am so very happy and all I can think is my mother's tone of voice when she told me the news on the phone.
