Must....have...script...news soon....!!!!

You know what would be kind of funny? If the movie opened with a scene from TOS -- a big threat occurs and the Enterprise crew easily handle it in minutes because Spock Prime had already told them about it (Doomsday machine? Tholian web?), but the result is something much worse than what they prevented.

I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOTHING! ZIP. ZERO. NADDA.

Ok, yes I do. Just a tiny little detail. That's all. Just one. Like if Bruce Greenwood will come back as Pike. Or something like that.

I dooooo!!!! Can't help it!

RAMA

When I saw G.I. Joe, I was like "those guys in the helmet/masks look a bit like JJ's Klingons". I want the Klingons to have those insanely overpowered handweapons!

I want Klingons in the next star trek movie :)

"Again with the Klingons!" - James T. Kirk, Star Trek XII: So Very Tired

It would have to be something imaginative and off the beaten trail for me to want Klingons in the next film, Modern Trek beat them to death for seventeen years solid.

Ahaha, agreed.

Would it hurt much to have some focus on Vulcan post-Nero? That's a huge loss there and I doubt a race of people connected to each other and their planet that deeply could simply "walk away" and "move on" without some major detriment to the storyline.

How many times have the Klingons got their asses beat in the first 6 movies? lol Let's shift focus a bit here. Ahahah

They ought to just focus on human beings. The inspiration for JJ's movies, TOS, did this to good effect in the majority of its best episodes - stuff like "Space Seed," "The Doomsday Machine," "City On The Edge Of Forever," and so on have alien elements but the dramatic interactions are between people (occasionally "superior" humans - but then in the original Khan and his followers were not even genetically "modified," just very well-bred. ;) ).

by Kirk? Only twice. (Kruge in III and Chang in VI) The Klingons in V were not that big a plot that it even counts. All in all, not very much.

Lursa and B'Etor in VII was the last time Klingons were villains in the movies and that was 17 years ago.

It's time for a movie comeback. A nice Klingons vs. Andorians showdown, with the Enterprise thrown in.

And here 'tis, from Captain Kirk himself:

"After a thousand questions regarding the Star Trek sequel I can finally say I am holding the draft script in my hand. I can also now tell you I have a love interest and it's all looking very exciting. Sorry but I cant give you a date for filming yet, but you guys are going to love it! "People" is going great, finishing filming soon. Good to be working in LA again. Looking forward to summer. Take care."
