Are you referring to the ones that were on display in San Diego? Those were the regular uniforms. They look a darker blue in regular lighting (almost black) but are brighter when filmed.

Pure black fabric tends to take on a weird greenish hue under artificial lighting.
A dark enough blue will look black.
And that's why it's recommended to wear a midnight blue tuxedo on a night out, instead of a true black one (in case anyone cares about that sort of thing).
