No it isn't.
Even anecdotally - 100% hate rate for me.
Watched it, liked it. It was fun.
I've learned to take some of these kind of ratings with a grain of salt, the people who hate something are always louder than the people who like it. And then when you get the fuckhead dipshits who review bombs stuff just because they're fuckhead dipships, you really have to take that into account too. Really, with everything going against it, a 6.4 is pretty damn good.
And just for reference, this still has 2,370 10s, vs only 1,458 1s, so no matter what the average comes out to, there are still a lot more people on there who loved it, than who hated it.
I really enjoyed it, it was a lot fun. So yeah, if you don't like fun, I can tell you right now, you're going to hate it.
It was a nice introduction to Kamala and her family, and Iman Vellani really did a great job as Kamala.
I loved all of the little graphics in it, especially how the signs changed into the characters' texts.
People who think the MCU all looks the same and lacks any sort of visual flair need to watch this first episode. The camera work, the colors, the graphic depiction of Kamala's imagination, the incorporation of texts into the scenes instead of just plain pop-up words... *chef's kiss*
A "Trust A Bro" truck can be seen during the end credits, so the Tracksuit Mafia is still doing their business. Is this possibly set before Hawkeye and was delayed because of Covid?

The whole all MCU movies are the same concept is totally weird and also... wrong. The movies aren't even the same genres!
I'm sure there are still bros operating after Hawkeye, though I'm sure without leadership they're...ineffective.
Not exactly my usual style, a bit too "Disney Channel" but the lead is really likable and some of the transition doodles or whatever are fun. I'm curious where they go in future episodes, I'm not quite sure from this one what exactly the series will settle into.

And yet, a day later, the score continues to rise. It's almost like taking an imdb rating that's only hours old and has clearly been review bombed as 'truth' is just patently moronic.
Yet the people I talk to think it's the only one of the sequels that isn't complete and utter drivel. Which imho, is spot on.
I've been across a bunch of sites and Ms Marvel appears to be going down very well indeed.
I thought the camera-work to establish Kamala and her daydreaming/zoning out had a really great immersive effect. Even if it did make it hard to take everything in at once with her dynamic and personality.
I'm not completely sold on her powers, but can't really judge on a very quick use.

Rewatching the avengercon scenes and noticing a ton of fun references like; an exhibit of "things Hulk smashed", that's literally just a bunch of junk he's destroyed, including a smashed piano and a fridge with a giant handprint in it. A guy giving out leaflets for tours of New Asgard (which from the Love & Thunder trailer appears to be a big thing), DVDs of a documentary series called "Peter Quill: The Star-Boy Story" so clearly he stopped on Earth for at least a while after the funeral. There was even a Gamora cosplayer which seems odd given the circumstances.
Also noticed that Okoye seems to be counted as an Avenger, while Blank Panther seems to be a little downplayed. Possibly indicator on how Marvel are planning to pivot to her character instead?
Also spotted what looked very much like the Star of Hala symbol on Kamala's bangle, so that thing may actually be Kree related, not Celestial/Ten Rings related as I initially suspected. I guess those aren't mutually exclusive since the the designs on the bangle to seem very similar to those on the Ten Rings?

I don't think that's the intent there. The intent is that Bruno is smart enough to build his own one from a box of scraps (though not in a cave, presumably), thus establishing his "guy in the chair" credentials.
If Po, Fin and Rose did NOTHING... The rebellion would have escaped, Luke would have lived and Leia would not have been spaced.
3/4s of the movie is a stupid side mission that almost ends the rebellion.
Laura Dern should have should have executed those three dipshits, and saved the galaxy from their stupidness.
I was looking forward to catching this after seeing the trailer. I loved it!
The show has a breezy pace, and I love the visuals in the daydreams. The family unit felt very real as well.

I love the visual direction depicting both texting and Kamala's daydreaming as graffiti art on walls as well as the more elaborate fantasy sequences like her plan for the day at the convention. The actress for Kamala is just adorable and I can't wait to see more of her. I also love that we finally have a cosplayer turned superhero.
