Mr Robot Season 3 Discussion

Was that the Dark Army of the FBI? I assumed it was the FBI but hubby says no.
If Mr. Robot is to believed, then there is no distinction, i.e. Dark Army would be pulling the strings either way.

I wonder if White Rose drugged Angela with something that could trigger a slowly escalating psychosis.

^true.

She feels guilty for the deaths of thousands; I don't think a drug would be necessary. She snapped as soon as she saw the buildings fall.

Since they hinted at a possible father/daughter relationship between Angela and Price, literal or not, I'm thinking that those were eCorp security people taking Angela to a safe place, on his orders. For a guy that apparently doesn't care about anyone but himself, he does seem to have a soft spot for Angela.

That's a great theory.

Angela has been in an altered state all season, right from the first episode when she began talking about making things like nothing ever happened, including apparently undoing the death of her mom and Elliot's father. I think she was showing signs of losing touch with reality well before the attack on the buildings. On the bus ride, she attributed that to White Rose opening her eyes.

I'm still wondering if there is a surprise this season? Season 1 it was Mr Robot is not real and was Eliot's father, season 2 was Elliot was in prison and we did not know it. Season 3 was the 71 building attacked not just the one in New York?

More precisely, the building in New York was not attacked. Rather it was 71 other buildings, the buildings that were supposedly sending their records to the NYC building, except that, when it was all over, they had all the records and the NYC building didn't have any.

Freaking brutal scene by the barn. I felt really sad for Dom, the FBI agent. Her life is screwed.

When Price sat next to Angela, I turned to hubby and said, "Luke, I am your father!" And I was right; that is exactly how it played out.

I liked how it ended on a quieter note-- a renewed hope for Elliot, at least as far as 5/9 is concerned. But then we also get the return of the drug dealer... . Looking forward to next season!

 Yeah, I guessed that the father revelation was probably coming when Angela woke up in the house. I stand by my contention that Angela's break with reality happened before the 71 building attack, and no later than her meeting with White Rose, but as to what's causing it, whether it be a drug, her own mental issues, guilt, despair, a combination, or whatever, I dunno.

But the conversation at the end between Elliot and Mr. Robot was absolutely beautiful. I didn't see that coming, but it was outstanding.

Dramatically, I like the epilogue of how the restoration of debt on the hooker isn't going to be that great for her. That was a nice way to sow doubt about whether it's really going to be good and to already plant the seed and make us wonder about what kinds of unintended consequences might result from trying to roll back 5/9.

I'd say that Dom is now in as deep as Elliot and Darlene, at least as far as Dark Army is concerned. Yeah, that scene at the barn was brutal (not what I meant was beautiful).

I'm still in for sure....

Playing catch up (half way through S2) but wondering if the show gets censored for Language in the U.S?

In Canada some eps seem to be others aren't. Shit happens but the fucks are censored but Darlene's "I'm not being c****y" in S2E4 got through.

I didn't see every episode in the States, but the ones I saw here had all F-bombs uncensored. The rest I saw in Canada all did, too. 'Bout fucking time.

Over here on Amazon all of the Cunty F-bombs are exhibited in their full glory.

After Twin Peaks that was the most thrilling, rich and emotionally satisfying season of TV this year.

Esmail is a supremely confident and fluid director which, along with the remarkable writing team he has built, gives this show a uniqueness that only Lynch can surpass.

I devoured that season in 3 days, on train journey's to and from work.

Pure magic.
