Most disturbing scene in star trek?

Rather than regurgitate the many excellent moments already posted I dredged my memory to come up with some fresh ones...

TWOK: Spock attempting to step forward and slamming into the "transparent aluminum" aka plexiglass.

DS9: Far Beyond The Stars: Sisko/Benny Russel getting boot stomped by the two cops and them flashing in and out as the cops and as Weyoun and Dukat.

TNG: The Game: Watching everyone walking around like meth heads.

holo-Quarks head on holo-Kira's body!

Gul Dukat killing Jadzia~the first time I saw that I was caught off guard and didn't see it coming.

Bajoran Dukat was disturbing in its own right.

And what's funny is, Marc Alaimo himself as a normal everyday human isn't the slightest bit scary. Which goes to show you it's ALLLLL in how he acted the character.

In fact...

Everybody say, "Awwww..."

I blame the nose ridges then. :)

I think it's those arrogant, narrowed eyes he has as Dukat, and that sleazy smile.

When he's himself...literally, I was surprised to see how BIG his eyes really were! :cardie:

He's starting to look like Pete Postlethwaite. You know, Kobayashi from Unusual Suspects, the friar from Romeo + Juliet, Cilian Murphy's dad in Inception.

I don't find much in Trek disturbing really. Maybe the ear slugs in TWOK when I was a kid...

Picard and Riker blasting Lt. Commander Remmick's head off in "Conspiracy". I just sat there thinking, "Wow- did I just see that?!" A pretty disturbing image, and not what I was used to seeing on Star Trek....

Never mind them blowing off his head. Him eating up that crab-roach hybrid thingie was far more disgusting imo. :ack:

Pretty much all of "Conspiracy" if you think about it.

Remember the maggots for dinner?

The old admiral beating the shit out of Worf, leaving him wondering "WTF"?

Inspired by another thread, I'll add Sarek's final moments in Unification.

Just so sad and uncomfortable to see Spock's dad and a character we've known for so long brought to such a humbling end. Quite possibly Trek's most realistic and honest depiction of the ravages of old age/mental illness.

IIRC Mark Lenard died fairly soon afterwards as well. Unification isn't a great two-parter by any means, but his performance is a highlight.

The scene where Odo and The Female Changeling discuss their sexual experience as 'solids', in this lifeless tone. Something about it just chills the blood. :ack:

Watching Rojan the Kelvin crush the distilled solid form of one of the two Enterprise crewmembers in "By Any Other Name." Just knowing that one of those young innocent people had just died in such a cold display of power was sad enough, but (unless your paying uber attention I suppose) you don't really know which one. It sort of forces your mind to play those "lesser-of-two-evil" mind games where you feel guilty hoping for one or the other to survive. It wasn't gross, but more mentally disturbing.

Jedda getting zapped so unexpectedly in TWOK, and the TMP transporter malfunction are probably my top two for shock value.

One of the most disturbing scenes was when Khan used the parasites to Control Captain Terrel and Chekov abandonded the Reliants crew on seti Alpha 5. Also the murdered Scientistof Project geneiss that Khan and his people tortured. The TNG episode where they had the graphic scene when they killed Starfleet officer being controlled by the alien queen parasite that was really gross. The Doctor killed in Cold Station 12 was pretty disturbing.
