I would never think anyone is flawless. He's just playing the odds, making the tough calls, going on his instincts, using all his experience, pushing his crew to excel, taking advantage of any & all options or lucky breaks, & not letting himself screw up too much, in order to deal with what might be a no win scenario. In other words, being a captain & getting the job done, even if it means nobody who he was given a day's notice to push though it likes himOr maybe just Hugh and both Riker moments since most people who dislike Jellico still believe he is a pretty competent/good captain though also flawed rather than, as his big fans believe, great and pretty much flawless.
