More Necessary Evil and No 2nd Sight

Wished Necessary Evil could have stretched into a two-parter and 2nd Sight saved for Season 8

For all the intrigue NE evil brought, 2nd Sight was that boring and slow.

What more do you think should have been in the episode? It seems very complete to me.

I'm not sure the atmosphere and mystery of NE could have been stretched over two episodes...though if it could have it would have been nice to see. Still, sometimes shorter is better.

As for Second Sight, I think people tend to agree that it's a bit of a dog of an episode, but cutting it to expand NE seems almost off-topic.

I think NE was fine just the way it was. There's not really much to expand upon. They did that enough with "The Circle" arc.

Sure "second sight" isn't the best DSN episode, but if you compare it against the likes of some other S1-2 episodes of DSN, TNG and ENT it ain't that bad. TOS was at it's best in S1-2.

I didn't care for the "Second Sight" love story, but Richard Kiley's egomaniacal good-natured mad scientist was fun to watch.

Yeah. I loved "Necessary Evil" and its noir-esque "feel" (down to Odo's narration and the dark lighting...not to mention the uber-noir intro!)...but it was story enough for one ep.

Still...I'd have liked some follow-up on the strain the solved mystery put on Odo and Kira's friendship.

Agreed with other posters, there really wasn't any way to extend Necessary Evil another 46 minutes without seriously padding it. Second Sight should have been replaced with a better script, not a second part to Necessary Evil.
