Moments on TNG that make you cringe.

But some of us actually liked those two quotes, which were from two different stories and I also choose not to get jiggy by choice, just like Worf or one of the monks Q impersonated. Then again, line #1 came from early season 1 when everything was being sexed up, maybe it was an early attempt to push back?
I actually do like the "but it's not my way" line from Redemption. It's very character relevant, & it worked well as a way to verify the respect Picard has in him. Plus, it was maybe the only time a Klingon was acting in opposition to all that cheesy Klingon schtick. So it gets a pass from me

I'm so glad this thread is here as it didn't deserve its own thread but I finally finally watched the extended cut of Measure of a Man.

It has a new scene that was arguably best left on the cutting room floor. Where Data talks about being a teacher then talks of his "star pupil" Wesley while grabbing him on the shoulder.

It just felt awful. There's no evidence that Wesley was taught anything by Data - indeed Data is often the student in those early episodes. The weird smile. The body contact. It just didn't work.
