Moments in DS9 that make you laugh!

Yes, they are a Marvel Comics alien race and are usually villains. I believe they even made it into the Cinematic Universe.

 

The Magnificent Ferengi had me laughing from start to finish so it's hard to nail down just one scene.

I HATE FERENGI !!!!!

The scene in Accession where Quark reveals Keiko is having a baby to Worf.

"NOW?!"

Laughed out loud at that.

 

When we hear the end of one of Quark's stories: "...and the Andorian says: That's not my antenna." What's funny is that it's very similar to a story I know.

 

- Ha ha! Now that you mention it, it does look like a skrull. No, it's a laughing Romulan - "Rommie" from the Smilies menu-thingy.

 

Oh, then can you tell us the beginning of the story?

 

IDK if it came up yet but - the Episode "To the Death"
IE:
Virak'kara: How old are you?
Jadzia: I stopped counting at 300.
Virak'kara: You don't look it.
Jadzia: Thank you.

 

The first that comes to mind:
All the proper Bond jokes in "Our Man Bashir". Also, Avery Brooks made me laugh with him (not at) as Dr Noah (the name of which is the best in-joke of the lot.) Amazingly, they didn't find a way to call anyone "Jimmy", but that might have been a step too far... at least for those who don't like the 1967 movie "Casino Royale", which I think is a treat (but that's hardly a surprise... )

 

Someone has already mentioned "The Magnificent Ferengi" with Keevan --

• The literal dead-man-walking at the end of "Magnificent Ferengi." I was disappointed in the writer who said he regretted that ending; some black comedy here and there is exactly what an overly serious show like DS9 needs during its war plot (it's not like the dead guy was anyone the audience would care much about, he was one of the bad guys!)
• Kira's hack of Quark's program for her stalker: "I've been waiting for you."
• Morn as collateral damage for Worf's attempts to woo Grilka. ("I will apologize for this at a later time... YOU! YOU ARE IN MY SEAT!" *Yeets Morn*)
• "They're Klingons?" "Okay, you guys have had enough."
• Every time someone strangles Quark
• Quark's "advertisement" cups

 

That is one of my favorite opening scenes in the whole of Trek!
"I will come to Quark's, and I WILL have fun."

 

Lousy episode but this makes me smile
