I just thought of something...there might be a way to get AMT Enterprise nacelles to "flap."

The slots the one piece nacelle supports slide into?

Imagine two bottle caps top to top...the axis running fore to aft in the secondary hull.

I affix one slot soundly to one cap...with half of it just gliding above the other cap---and vice versa.

Seen from above...the slots look like this equals sign floating above a line splitting them apart down the middle.

Make the caps comic sections...and slide the AMT tabs into the slots.

Now you can have the nacelles truly be variable geometry in the physical world.

Based on my own personal experience with both the AMT TOS and refit Enterprise models, given enough time, they'll eventually "flap" on their own without any additional effort.
