MOAR PICS

CIMG0088.jpg

That park looks really nice.

What is that in the center of this picture? An egg? A creature? I can't tell.
I think it's a turtle working on his tan.

Doc unscrewed me today, I wonder how much a 4cm titanium screw is worth :vulcan:

Hopefully I'll walk again soon!

WHOA OMNIOUS: Your screw trumps my pin! I had this in my hand when i had basal joint reconstruction done.

You should know that's a piece of flesh hanging off the end there. Was a real motherfucker when they pulled it out too. What did you have done that you needed such a piece of metal?

Ouch, that must have been quite painful!

Well, I broke my ankle in three places during sports, so they fixed it with some screws and stuff:

The big screw was there to hold the lower end of the calf bone and the shin bone together in order for it to heal properly. It has healed pretty good and they decided I could start walking again (gradually). So in order to be able to do that they had to remove the screw. Which involved a small incision and local sedation (and a hex screwdriver).
In a year or so I could opt to get the rest of the metal removed if I want.

Feel better bro.

I got a similar one of those at home from when I had a bunionectomy. It somehow involved cutting off my toe, shortening the bone, and reattaching it.

Oh Dude! I will NEVER AGAIN complain about my measly surgery. Yours was freaking epic!!!! Hope you're feeling lots better.

Do you still have any pain?

Hey everybody. It seems this is the only thread I ever have time to post in these days. I'm sure you're all getting sick of them, but here's a new one of the little one wearing an outfit from her great Grandmother..

Yeah, she was dead asleep for this one. I have a couple more taken from farther away where she really looks like a doll

At this stage a lot of your pics will be of her asleep. My son is 16 months and looking back over his pics I wonder if he was ever awake.

 That sounds like it hurted a lot! I hope you recovered well!

I was in pain when the sedation wore off after the surgery. But the day after I could do without painkillers.
What actually hurts the most was the fact I'm unable to continue my training for six months and that I'll be in therapy to gradually walk again.
I have to pass some physical tests in order to complete my training (20 pushups, 30 situps, 2400m run in 12 minutes..), so I hope that all will be going as planned.

Seeker, I don't think I've congratulated yet, but I wanted to say you have a beautiful baby! :)

I took these pictures of my 14-month old nephew Mick last week:
