Hawk IS retiring, though, isn't he? Isn't this supposed to be his final year in the Whitesox booth?

Watch enough Reds games and you'll pick up that everyone hates working with Thom Brennaman, especially the former players who loath his "it's not hard to play baseball" rants. You have to wonder how two or three people in a broadcast booth get along. Sometimes it sounds as if they at least like each other. Then there's other times you can hear the tension.

Yeah, I really disliked Brennaman when he was doing Cubs games. I don't know how idiots like that go to the national level, and then I have to listen to him all over again when a game is on Fox or wherever. There's always the radio broadcast.
Speaking of the Mets, Jacob deGrom gave up 2 ER in 7 IP tonight and his ERA went up.
The Phillies are now 11-22 since their last series win. I’ve tried to be patient with Kapler, but I’ve had just about enough of him with this recent slide. Regardless of what the Phillies were expected to do this season, they haven’t succeeded by pissing away their chances for the postseason. I won’t shed a tear if Kapler is fired by next season’s All Star Break.
Could be they were playing above their heads, and the talent isn't quite there yet. Look at the Mariners, who are in a similar boat. I'd say give Kapler another year.
Anybody know if they’re still going to have exhibition games in Montréal next year?
The spring training schedule for 2019 is already out, but there isn't anything in it about Montréal games (at least not on the Blue Jays' website, and they're always the home team for these games).
Please note details regarding the exhibition games in Montreal will be announced in the coming weeks.
It’s a foregone conclusion the Mets will retire his number...wonder if they’ll do it for Davey Johnson at the same time?
I almost cried at David Wrights press conference, you could see the desire to play and just being betrayed by his body.
I totally agreeIt’s always sad when an athlete’s body breaks down before he/she is actually ready to quit. Reyes should start next to Wright for old-times’ sake.
