Well, speaking of A-Rod, it seems he tested positive for steroids in 2003. Thoughts?

Why should we care about something that happened six years ago?

Because it taints his record. A-Rod was going, and is going, to break the all time home run record. When he broke it, it was going to be the end of the steroid era, and Barry Bonds. Now, when he breaks it, it will be no different then Bonds breaking it.
He is no different now then Bonds, Clemens, etc.

You are a Sox fan, aren't you? I'd have thought you'd be loving this kind of news.![]()

Trust me, as a Sox fan, my first reaction was:
But as also a fan of the game itself, it sucks, because it's at a point were you cannot trust any modern record anymore.
supposedly he wasn't on the roids in 2004. he tested positive in 2003. i would like to know who the other 104 players are that tested positive.now they are reporting on wfan radio in new york that this report was sealed under a federal court order. so, whoever those three other sources are that verified this story can now be prosecuted for leaking that info. Now we know why A-Rod made that idiotic attempt to slap the ball out of Arroyo's glove in the 2004 ALCS - he was buckling under 'Roid Rage.![]()
Must really suck to have $252 million be your source of pressure, as opposed to say losing your job and health care benefits and trying to support your family, or patching up wounded soldiers on the battlefield, or trying to talk a nutcase down from shooting everyone in a hostage situation.

He gained the same "untouchable" status as Bonds and Palmiero when he went to get a new contract...
