Scott Rolen elected to the HOF, will join contemporary era committee selection Fred McGriff. Todd Helton was short by 11 votes.
Good for Rolen, but fuck the BBWAA in general. I'm so tired of the pearl-clutching over '90s players.

There was a customer in my store today who had a Dodger cap on, but the logo was backwards. He didn't seem to know why (it was his son's hat). Any idea what this could be, other than a-up at the factory?
I told him he should hang onto the hat 'cos it could be worth some serious coin one day!![]()
New Era made upside-down hats in 2021 as a promotional gimmick.
^ Hmmm. I thought they'd already retired it...
^ They also retired Walter Alston's number before he was elected.
For the longest time, the Dodgers have had an unwritten policy that they only retire the numbers of players who are in the Hall of Fame. I think Jim Gilliam is the only exception.
The Ravens haven't retired any numbers but some are off limits.
