Astros GM James Click turns down one-year contract to return so he's flying the coop.

Apparently he and Crane really didn't get along with each other; it's mind-boggling that Click only received a one-year contract after constructing a World Series champion team.

Julio Rodriguez and Michael Harris are this year's Rookies of the Year!

Excellent choices and I'm not just saying that because I had them on my fantasy baseball teams and/or one of them is on the Braves.

Okay, maybe I'm a little biased.

Congratulations to Julio! Well earned :)

Terry Francona is your AL Manager of the Year.

Anthony Rizzo returns to the Yankees for two years, $34 million, with a $17 million club option for a third year or a $6 million buyout.

Tyler Anderson rumored to be joining the Angels for three years, $39 million.

I'm going to miss leaving Shea Stadium/City Field and feel like I was going to get tetanus.

I think all of the chop shops have been gone for awhile now. I haven't looked over in that direction the last few times I've been to Citi, but the last time I did was like 4 or 5 years ago and there was only like one of them left. It wasn't the District 9 it used to be....

Fun fact: The Angels' 2023 promotional schedule does not have any Shohei Ohtani-related giveaways after the trade deadline.

I mean, there's basically no way he re-signs with them so they'll be looking to move him for something, but, man, don't just put it out there like that.

Justin Verlander and Sandy Alcantara are your Cy Young Award winners.

well deserved to Sandy. He was a stud all season long. I think the only award I disagree with is AL manager of the year. I think the Mariners guy should have won.

I haven't been to Citifield since we moved up to Syracuse. When we moved back to Long Island I was hopping to go for playoff run but of course that was cut real short. I went to the last game at Shea Stadium and of course the first game at Citifield. Ian was like 4 or 5 months old, my wife carried him in a baby carrier on her chest and he wore a little Mets hat. We even have a brick in front of Citifield, my wife got it for us as an anniversary present. We have a copy of it in our house. I don't remember where our actual brick is in front of the stadium, I'm gonna have to go and find it. We're are thinking about get limited season tickets. Its on going discussions with the wife. We'll probably get season tickets to the NY Liberty again, we really loved going to their games.

Royals owner says the team will leave Kauffman Stadium and is exploring locations for a $2 billion stadium and entertainment district near or around downtown. Lease ends in 2031 but they're hoping to move before then.

Ugh.

"Sherman also said back in 2021 he anticipated the future home of the Royals to be a public-private partnership."

That's code for "we'll move the team somewhere else if the public doesn't pay for our new mallpark."
