I think some of yall need to quit trying to hold these athletes up to your standards of purity. Professional athletes are looking for any edge they can get because millions of dollars for them could be at stake. With the addition of gambling revenue added to the already huge amount of advertising money, everyone wants a cut. It's just modern sports and has nothing to do with baseball in particular.

Well, when you put up star athletes at god-like status what do we expect?

Don't care who wins, but watching the Phillies come back in the ninth while the Cardinals implode is entertaining baseball. And if the Cardinals somehow come back in the bottom of the inning, more entertainment.

I'm not sure if anyone else posting here knew this or not, however, the local Seattle sports station was talking with Mariners GM Jerry Dipoto after the win yesterday and he said that the players can't watch the games live anymore in the clubhouse or locker room thanks to the Houston Astros. The feed is now on an eight second delay.

I'm not following...

Jerry Dipoto was saying that he didn't get a chance to enjoy the Mariners vs Blue Jays in real time because he was in the locker room listening to the crowd respond to the Mariner home runs before it aired on the tv. He blamed the Astros for stealing the signals which lead to the eight second delay on all televisions in all MLB locker rooms and dugouts.

Blue Jays were up 8-1. Mariners just tied the game 9-9 when Bo Bichette and George Springer collided and three runs scored. Would've been an easy out too if Bichette hadn't gone for it. Springer has to be carted off the field.

I’m glad if the Jays lost, they lost at home. When a team loses at home, they have the fans around them.
I’m glad the Ms did it! We made it to the next round!!

Jays need to clean house now. The team has a county club atmosphere. Up 9-1 in the 4th inning and doing curtain calls. Burn the home run jacket and bring in someone that is going to hold them accountable. I'm not saying bring in Tony La Russa, but things need to change.

Home run jackets, swag chain, whatever hat the Phillies wear after home runes. All that shit needs to go. The ridiculous bat flips are bad enough.
