Lots of words, is any of this about the 33" Enterprise or should I skip?![]()
Skip.

Star Wars is worse. In the first movie, Luke's father was killed by Vader thus giving him motivation for starting the Hero's Journey. In the second movie Vader *is* the father. In the third movie, the princess from another planet, formerly love interest, is his twin *sister*.
Still, we bought all that happily.
Nope. Luke finds out that Darth Vader killed his father an he still wants to go back to the farm.Luke's father was killed by Vader thus giving him motivation for starting the Hero's Journey.
That sounds oddly familiar.the person in possession of said model is probably consulting a lawyer. There’s a huge potential payday but also unknown legal ramifications. It’s not unlike artwork stolen by the nazis during ww2. (Note: I’m not a lawyer, nor do I play one on tv. If my legal understanding is simple, please forgive me)
Luke's motivation to leave Tatooine is his aunt and uncle are murdered / he's running for his life. AND he wants to be a Jedi like his Dad.
The first one I can accept, barely.I'm your father, Luke" and then "I'm your sister, Luke"
Rod has updated the progress of trying to aquire the model. If he gets it they will scan it and he wants to place it alongside the 11 footer at the Smithsonian. Which would be awesome....
"First".Should the title be changed to 33"?
I can't do it. Mod would have to do it...Should the title be changed to 33"?
Maybe the Smithsonian, but it would seem odd to me that both models were created and used in L.A. but put on display 3000 miles away. Isn't there some appropriate museum in the L.A. area?
https://californiasciencecenter.org/exhibits/air-spaceYou know of any in LA?
The National Air & Space Museum has exhibits that have been in actual outer space. LA to DC isn't that far.
And the reason the Enterprise is in the museum is that it's not just an artifact of TV production, but an important cultural symbol of the Space Age. Star Trek inspired a generation or more of astronauts, physicists, engineers, etc. So it belongs in a museum about spaceflight and aviation. You know of any in LA?

They appear to have a space shuttle orbiter and the Apollo capsule from the Apollo-Soyuz mission. Does that count?
