Miscellaneous Street - The Soap Opera

Jenee watches from the window and grumbles about the intelligence of her decision to allow a man to have such an influence over the precious life she has given birth to ...

Daniel catches her looking, so she blows him a kiss. Eh, who is she kidding? The precious life is a going to grow into a man anyway ...

There was no wallet, but Soda found an unloaded gun and a lottery ticket.

"Where did we find them, son?"

"In the snow, Daddy!"

"Good kid:)" (*tussels Soda's hair*)

Soda goes inside, and Daniel gets on the phone to Kirsten's clinic -

"Hey Kirsten, I found a guy passed out outside the coffee shop. I saw shady-looking teens running away when I found him, I think he might have been mugged. He's unconcious, but doesn't look badly hurt. Can you come and take a look-see?"

Kirsten goes straight over to the coffee shop to see MLB and immediately calls an ambulance. Daniel and Soda are both now inside the coffee shop. When the ambulance arrives, Kirsten goes with them to the hospital, leaving her clinic in capable hands of the nurse there.

Hippy Lady is preparing for the Winter Solstice, and thinks about making pilgrimage Stonehenge. Then she thinks about British winters (like British summers, but even more depressing) and nixes the idea. Way, way too much unhappy karma. So she comes up with the idea to build a stone circle in her front garden. Now, where can I get some suitable stones, and how would she get them to her garden? There was a handy blue box lying around, but now she can't find it. Hmmm...

^No they're not. The Blue Jays now have two and the Expos have an NL title. They built the Expos a new stadium. You should see it, it's awesome.

My dad used to take me and my brother to Expos games at the Olympic Stadium (aka The Big O/Owe). The bastards never won when we were there. :( Their mascot, Youppi, was a lot of fun, though.

The Crazy Cat Lady and Miss Chicken use the blue box to go back in time to capture 4 trilobites and a very cute miniraptor. The Crazy Cat Lady now has Xmas presents for two of her neighbours. She wonders what she can get Hippy Lady. Maybe a Druid potion or amulet or something similar?

Hmm. Since Captain Ice has hidden the Blue Box, that is either a second Blue Box or the same Blue Box at a different point in its timeline. Which means that my six defrosted elves might still be out there in time and space with some version of the Blue Box. Time travel makes my head hurt. :weep:

Oh, well, at least it looks like the Red Sox will win the World Chess Series again this year.

I think it is the same blue box but from a different timeline. Miss Chicken seems to have a psychic connection to the box and can call it to come to her.

Maybe in a future time Miss Chicken will be the pet of a certain Doctor?

Later that evening...

The winning lottery numbers are announced.

Daniel changes his pants.

Daniel rushes downstairs and closes the coffee shop early, forcably ejecting the slower customers.

"Jenee, we won $2 million on the lottery! We're rich!"

{screams} * hugs Daniel * {screams} * hugs Daniel *

When can we book a cruise to the Caribbean in the best cabin on the finest ship?

^According to the paper, Daniel, there were 7 winning tickets for that lottery and they were all sold at a market only a couple of miles from here. You have one, as do I. The question is how many other people do you and I have to take out?

The question is, what happens when only Ice and Daniel are left? There can be only one!

Heh heh.

Good thing I didn't win anything.

The Crazy at Lady comes back from riding her three-wheeled bike to the shopping mall. On the back of her bike she has a large mail bag. She tells her neighbours she found their mail in a ditch on the side of the road.

No wonder we haven't seen our a postman for days. He has been throwing our mail away. No wonder we didn't get our Xmas cards.

CCL starts to hand out the mail to all her neighbours.

It seems the other lottery winners had similar Highlander-style ideas and killed each other off overnight. The last two were found tangled at the bottom of a pool.

That leaves just Ice and Daniel. Considering how Daniel and Soda "found" the lottery ticket "in the snow" (along with a nice, albeit unloaded, gun which Daniel pawned this morning), Daniel decides that splitting the prize money 50/50 would be acceptable.

Daniel starts planning his and Jenee's Caribbean cruise. Hopefully it will be more enjoyable than the last holiday he went on... (*flashback to graphic torture scenes*)

It is quite acceptable. I'm starting by donating 5% of my share to fund a Miscellaneous Street branch of the Trekbbsville Public Library. Another 5% is being donated to the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army will also be posting a bell ringer in front of the Deli on weekend days this month.

Speaking of which, the Deli has been reopened. It is decked top to bottom in Christmas decor. Two large trees and several animated figurines adorn the interior of the shop. The counters are wrapped in gift paper, the photos on the wall now look like wall mounted presents, and garland is strung on the walls and the front of the counter.

The exterior is done up with lit and animated figurines in the windows of both the shop and the apartment above while 20,000 multifunction, chasing LED lights decorate the front of the building. Another 3,000 LED lights decorate the trees outside the front of the building while a huge wreath adorns a giftwrapped front door.

*Ice wonders over to the coffee shop to ask Daniel if he'll bake a few holiday pies for the shop. I hear his mincemeat pie is to die for.*

I didn't even realise there was a library in Miscellaneous Street. Is it hidden in some way?

Oh, thanks heavens for that. I was beginning to think I was even crazier than I am.

Will this library have a large collection of cat books?
