If they'd made him ginger, I could have accepted JRM as portraying Henry's self image as a fit and healthy young prince dude of the Renaissance, when he was a sick and bloated tyrant.

TV news chose to present the Midsomer Murders' item as a light-hearted piece akin to a skateboarding duck, when it's actually exposing deeply suppressed prejudice.

"And now after all that worrying shit about Japan and Libya, an amusing item about closet racism in a show watched mainly by the blue-rinse brigade."

Not so closet now, I don't know how the guy imagined he could declare himself a racist and not get fired, he must be spectacularly naive.
