Emperors are supposed to be glamorous? I wouldn't have known after watching Star Wars.![]()
After watching Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Revenge of the Sith again, we need a Mirror Georgiou/Palpatine lightsaber duel. The sheer coolness of it would send shockwaves through both 'Star' franchises.Palpitation had....issues. And a lot of 'em.![]()

Just have to say Michelle Yeoh is elegant and absolutely gorgeous. I've had a mad crush on her for years. If they remake The Avengers in the near future I would love to see her as Emma Peel!![]()
It's too bad tv doesn't have the budget for CGI'ing 1990s Michelle Yeoh into the Saru short treks flashback episode. It would have been cool to see Bond-era Michelle Yeoh recruiting Saru (the way they de-aged Kurt Russell in Guardians of the Galaxy 2).She practically was 20 years ago in the James Bond film she was featured in.

Though to be honest she was criminally underused in that flick. She couldn’t do the kind of crazy stunts she was known for in Hong Kong due to Hollywood rules.
Time to get this thread back on a better track....
This is my favorite photo of Michelle. While not connected to Trek, the shapes and colors are evocative. And she has a great sense of style. Go through google images and you will see that she has opted for some great choices in clothing.

I don't know a lot about acting. But there is a scene in Crouching Tiger between Yeoh's character and Chow Yun-fat's that could have been done over the top dramatically or just have been totally lost. The two of them were able to build this incredibly subtle intensity between them. They create one of the best displays of a love denied that I've seen. Anyone watching this without subtitles or prior context could still read lead a lifetime of longing and loss between the two, and it just won me over completely. I honestly don't know how they did it.
As an aside, this is how I picture the possibility of bringing Q into the Picard show. Start off with John De Lancie CGI'd to look just like he did in All Good Things, and then have an exchange where Q says something like, "would you feel more comfortable, Jean-Luc, if it were to look like I kept up with you?", And then he snaps his fingers and it's John de lancie as he appears today. It's too bad tv doesn't have the budget for CGI'ing 1990s Michelle Yeoh into the Saru short treks flashback episode.
