This is my favorite photo of Michelle. While not connected to Trek, the shapes and colors are evocative. And she has a great sense of style. Go through google images and you will see that she has opted for some great choices in clothing.

I am really glad her career continues to build momentum. Hollywood has has a despicable habit of discarding actresses' careers early, regardless of talent. Trek is extremely lucky to have her on board.

I don't like the emperor, but I like Michelle Yeoh, and I'm happy to see her have all this success. Discovery really nabbed her at the right time.

I don't know a lot about acting. But there is a scene in Crouching Tiger between Yeoh's character and Chow Yun-fat's that could have been done over the top dramatically or just have been totally lost. The two of them were able to build this incredibly subtle intensity between them. They create one of the best displays of a love denied that I've seen. Anyone watching this without subtitles or prior context could still read lead a lifetime of longing and loss between the two, and it just won me over completely. I honestly don't know how they did it.
