Michael J Pollard R.I.P.

It's a milestone, alright. He was always distinctive and interesting, with that face and voice of his. I know him from "Miri," Lost in Space, and also Little Fauss and Big Halsy (1970). I read somewhere that Robert Redford bought up all the rights to that movie in order to make it disappear.

He was also good in Roxanne and Scrooged.

Rest in peace Mr. Pollard.

So long, Michael Pollard. He had a fairly storied career than most remember (or would give him credit for). Usually, most will reference one or two characters, but he could deliver a wide field of performances.

Unforgettable and pivotal (and Academy Award nominated) as C.W. Moss in Bonnie and Clyde. Sorry to hear he's gone.

I have no proof of this, as I just heard it as scuttlebutt in my Local Comic Shop, but the redesign of Mr. Mxyztplk into Mr. Mxyzptlk, complete with the gold and purple outfit, is supposedly based on Michael J. Pollard's appearance. The apparent irony of Michael J. Pollard being cast as Mr. Mxyzptlk on the Superboy series in the 1980s was not lost on me.

He also had a small part in Tango and Cash as a police technical specialist working with Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell.

He had an appearance on Alfred Hitchcock Presents in November of 1959! A full seven years before the mirror episode. He must have really looked young in that one.
Episode titled anniversary gift

I read about this yesterday among some controversy that some people hadn't been able to confirm this and were arguing all over FB!!! RIP to Jahn!
