Michael B. Jordan as the Man Of Steel?

Does sound rather redundant doing both

Possibly, but you cannot tell the "creatives" in that business anything approaching reason. I would only have an interest in seeing Jordan's version, while JJ should not have his hands on that subject at all, for endless reasons.

He's just producing. Ta-Nehisi Coates is writing and they're looking for a black director

I know he's producing, but his job (and history) means he will have influence over the path of the film, as in all of the films he's ruined. Coates does not have free reign over the project. So, again, I say JJ should be nowhere near / have his hands on this film.

MBJ as Val Zod Superman sounds interesting. The other not so much, maybe because I am more interested in Cavill or Routh as Clark Kent

I'm the same. Not because I would have issues with a non-white Clark Kent. I'm fine with that. But I loved both Routh AND Cavill and would love to see more of both of their takes on the character.

Routh needs to show up as Superman in Stargirl or Titans. Maybe even Doom Patrol.

Superman in Doom Patrol would be delightful. Stargirl would be cool. Despite the obvious connection with Superboy though, I'd rather my favourite super hero stay far away from the mess that is Titans. They already gave freakin' Krypto a body count: who knows what they'd do to Supes? I still haven't been able to bring myself to watch season 3.

Not sure why Jordan didn't get more blame for Fantastic Four 15 failing although I guess there are big reasons (the previous movies being bad, the director and studio publicly feuding and OTOH the Creed movies being very successful), still a pretty big thing to just ignore.

None of the actors were to blame, they're all extremely talented. It was everything surrounding them that was to blame.

Blamed for what? Taking a job?
He was the best thing in that film.
