Spoilers Maul - Shadow Lord Animated Series

So good, Animation (usually) doesn't disapoint!

With Lawson on the run, the Empire might know of his ex wife in the empire, so I wouldn't count out seeing her in person.
That might be a reason Devon falls, tries to protect the Lawson family, and fails.

When I've been watching, I can't help but think about how far the Star Wars animation has come since the beginning of The Clone Wars when everything was so stiff and wooden it almost felt like were watching a supermarionation show.

Looks like we won't be on this planet much longer. Season 2 must be set somewhere else.

I know what you mean but the animation was made to look like the 2D shorts, so it has that extra layer of unreality.

Next two episodes are out.

Spoilers.

We see a younger Maul. He's already red in those visions but I thought the red is tattooed skin. Is that old EU canon? Or was he tattooed from a really young age?

I know it isn’t but it really should be Vader on that ship. His whole job is to hunt down force sensitive users and Mail is exactly the sort of person that warrants his attention.
The Inquisitors seem capable enough of handling Maul without Vader.

IIRC, we do see Maul tattooed as a child in flashback scenes on Clone Wars.

Another two riveting episodes. I loved seeing the flashbacks of Maul's past and it was cool to see Savage Opress again. I love how the show is exploring Maul's mental health, his drive for revenge, and how that's tearing him apart.

I didn't expect to see another Inquisitor but I love the way they look, especially since he looks like he came from the Boiling Isles (The Owl House). :D

I'm glad Two-Boots has finally come around but I kept expecting him to die in a sacrifice while rescuing of Rylee. At this point, I expect both him and Eeko-Dio Daki to die by the end of this season.

And, hey, look at that. Dryden Vos is calling! I'm curious to hear if Paul Bettany reprises the role.

The Skull inquisitor, Eleventh Brother, first appeared in Tales of the Jedi.

According to the credits, Sam Witwer played Darth Sidious, and Young Savage in the flashbacks.

Clancy Brown is credited as Adult Savage, I don't remember any new dialogue from him, I think it was all recycled from The Clone Wars.

Ewan McGregor is credited as Obi-Wan, but I believe that was also just archive audio from TPM.

By 4 BBY I would think most inquisitors are out of practice in fighting Jedi with any skills. It is mostly padawans that have been on the run for over a decade and their students. Someone like Maul or Ahsoka would absolutely be over their skill level. But here around 18 BBY, they are fresh from the Clone Wars. They are hunting skilled Jedi.

Ah, thank you for the reminder. I couldn't remember if we've seen him before or not. My comparison to The Owl House stands.

Yup, I noticed those credits, too, and also assumed they were archival audio.

Another pair of fantastic episodes.
I was a little surprised when Rylee was captured, it was a nice way to have Two-Boots see what the Empire is really like and finally come to his senses.
The flashbacks were cool, and they also finally answered a question I've had, which colors on Maul were natural what's tattoos.
The speeder chase through the city was a lot of fun.

I'm finding every time there's a scene with Rook Kast I keep thinking of that fan theory that she eventually becomes the Armorer on The Mandalorian.

We've seen her without her helmet. Anyway, I just get blown away by the animation in every episode. Gorgeous. I'm enjoying this more than I thought I would. I wonder if we will get a appearance from Paul Bettany next week.

We also might be following some of the better ones this time.
