Spoilers Maul - Shadow Lord Animated Series

I don't know, I kind of got the impression that most of the followers were born into The Children of The Watch, and her attitudes don't really seem to line up with theirs.

her height given on the databank doesn't match the Armorer's

but that doesn't really mean anything.

I just watched the finale.

Maul being tossed around like a play thing by this villain (yes I am staying vague even inside a spoiler tag), is wild to see. How he escapes is dark. And I suspect is the reason Devon will eventually turn her back on him.

Vader doesn't speak. Perhaps because of the SAG-AFTRA backlash last year, regarding the recreated Vader voice in Fortnite
I doubt that, he most likely didn't speak for the dramatic value. If the backlash was the issue, they would have just got a sound alike. Either Scott Lawrence or Matt Sloan, those two are usually the go to for sound alikes.

What was really weird, is that they didn't get Paul Bettany to voice Dryden Vos. Who they got wasn't a good soundalike

Wait, they have real-time FTL comms from within hyperspace? Which (at this time) you can’t track anything in?

Rest in peace, Spybot. A pity you never got a proper name but I'll miss your mischievous snickering.

I imagine those who were lamenting the lack of Vader showing up to the scene regarding Maul are happy now. However, I am mildly disappointed he showed up in the end, even if it wasn't surprising. The two Inquisitors didn't have meaty roles as those in Rebels and they barely had any dialogue, so it felt almost inevitable Vader would show up for the endgame. Even so, I had hoped when Marrok referred to "him" that it would've been the Grand Inquisitor instead.

Regardless, Vader did serve a good purpose in his slaying of Eeko-Dio Daki and I love how Maul masterfully manipulated the situation to complete his seduction of Devon. Mind you, an Inquisitor (even one who also has plot armor like Marrok) could've just as easily served that role and continue to fuel Devon's hate and thirst for ongoing vengeance, but what is done is done.

The lightsaber duels were fun although I found Vader's lack of dialogue odd, but I guess he reserves an open dialogue only for the likes of Obi-Wan and Ahsoka. Still, you'd think he would've had a few choice words for Maul but perhaps that's better served for another time as Maul had no idea who he is and Vader wants to keep it that way.

I'm not surprised Lawson went out in a blaze of glory. I am curious to see what role, if any, Rylee and Two-Boots have in the second season or if Maul just lets them go on their merry way. As much as I love Two-Boots, that's probably for the best without Lawson at his side and I don't really care about Rylee.

Good to see Dryden Vos again but it's a shame that Bettany didn't return. I imagine he'll play a major role next season as he schemes to take over Crimson Dawn with Maul's help.

Well, I'm not so sure that I'm going to be in for season 2. Not that it wasn't good, but as I said up thread, I don't like watching stories where all the characters that I like and am rooting for get killed off (or corrupted). That's why I eventually stopped watching The Walking Dead and it's why I didn't finish that Darth Maul novel that I mentioned previously.

As for Vader not speaking, it really added to the horror movie vibe that this episode was going for.

Also, if Maul was aware that Anakin was central to Palpatine's plans in the Siege of Mandalore arc in Clone Wars, why would he not put it together that this is Skywalker here?

Six episodes in, it's okay. Isn't odiously bad like Ahsoka, definitely doesn't reinvent the wheel.

That was all sorts of cool.

I shouted "no f'ing way!" when Vader showed up. I didn't expect they would bring him in like that. I thought he would be teased for season 2 but this was beyond my expectations. There was a Maul Vs. Vader comic from years back. Before Clone Wars. I bet they will pay homage to that later down the line since Lucas loved the imagery. What we got in episode 10 was the stuff of dreams. Bring on season two and beyond.

While I understand that sentiment, I don't mind it. I'm watching for Maul himself and all of his machinations. I can go either way with the supporting cast.

Plus, I absolutely love this animation style.

Given the amount of rage Maul would induce, I can believe one would be silent in the seething rage.
Yeah, both of those explanations work. It doesn't stand out so much considering the Inquisitors rarely spoke, too, in contrast to Rebels.

Also, if Maul was aware that Anakin was central to Palpatine's plans in the Siege of Mandalore are in Clone Wars , why would he not put it together that this is Skywalker here?
Yeah, that's a good question. Perhaps in the moment, Maul didn't figure it out because he was too taken aback by the sheer Force of Vader and he was too busy trying to save his own skin. I wouldn't be surprised if he figures it out later after some consideration.
