The Odyssey is July 17, and Brand New Day is the 30th.
Is there some reason they couldn't just rotate movies on the different screens? Or can they only show one movie on an IMAX screen and it has to stay the whole run?

The trade press I saw said Dune 3 had a three week exclusive.

I seem to remember joker 2 had something similar means cinemas were showing to empty seats because it bombed.

It is not speculation - at this point in time, Dune 3 has the screens tied up contractual.

Now that could change between now and December but is how it is.

I said sourceless speculation because Rich didn't provide a source. I don't follow the intricacies of theater contracts, so when someone makes bullish comments like that, I'm not going to believe them until I actually see a source.

IMAX exclusivity or not, I'd be surprised if WB actually sticks with the current schedule to release Dune 3 on the exact same day as Avengers: Doomsday.

Yeah I would think they will work something out...although... If the netflix deal goes through - when is that expected to close ?

For some reason I thought Dune Messiah ( yeah that's what I'm calling it ) wasn't going to come out until 2027.

I expected it to be pushed back like the second film, but I guess there were reasons for that...
