Always a first time for everything but I doubt it will be this time.

Having another Spider-Man movie should also help them have a good year.
Yeah, I think it's a pretty safe bet the success of Doomsday, Brand New Day, and Secret War will probably be the final deciding factor on the future of the MCU. While I doubt they'll completely end the series, I could the scale and budget of the movies being cut back if those three do the same kind of numbers as the last few movies.
Doomsday and Secret Wars will have to do really, really well because the salary costs must be horrific - I'm not talking all the bit players, but RDjr, Evans and Hemsworth alone will be a significant amount plus likely backend.
I wonder about Hemsworth. I mean, RDJ and Evans basically called it quits. Hemsworth did Thor 4 and the tagline of that movie was 'Thor will return'. Even though Hemsworth said that was a surprise to him. The status of his character was unclear, and I'm not sure if his contract with Marvel was done after Thor 4. For all we know he was still under contract.

Dune 3 comes out in December. How does a summer release take away screens from a December release
The Odyssey doesn't.
The Odyssey is July 17, and Brand New Day is the 30th.
Is there some reason they couldn't just rotate movies on the different screens? Or can they only show one movie on an IMAX screen and it has to stay the whole run?
It is not speculation - at this point in time, Dune 3 has the screens tied up contractual. Is it true that this sourceless speculation is nothing less than blatant shit stirring? If so, that's not surprising at all.
