Hm. She might be able to pull it off. I always so Storm as quite a tall woman, but I guess Halley Barry wasn't very tall. And Hugh Jackman was definitely not a short king.

Plus they can do some of the tricks they do with actors like Tom Cruise to maybe make her seem taller.

I'd rather they didn't. That is just Cruise's vanity and many studios not wanting the male lead to look as tall or shorter as the female lead and supporting cast. It's silly and should have no more place in a society where everyone should be accepted for who they are.

I remember they used to do the same thing with Stallone, and Prince Charles for that matter.

It's a common technique that directors have employed in film since the beginnings of it.

They used it quite often with Stewart and Sirtis during TNG. Getting a tight two-shot with either of them and Frakes sometimes required some help.

"I need an apple/half apple here' - supposedly, wooden apple boxes had been used for the purpose at one time. There were usually boxes of various heights on hand, to be used for different actors or shots.

Supposedly, the director of Stolen Holiday had a long shallow ramp constructed so that Claude Rains could enter a room and cross to stand face-to-face with Kay Francis.

Nowadays they're often called "Cruise boxes." But not in front of the actor. Or so i've heard. :shifty:

I'd be happy if they used almost all unknowns for the new X-Men
Agreed, that way audiences don't have preset expectations and the actors can fully inherit the characters.
Ironically the best examples are Hugh Jackman and Chris Helmsworth.
Both relative unknowns, but have become generational examples of their respective characters.

I don't know how true it is, but it is said that Avengers Doomsday Cast Announcement Part 2 will be released on August 27th

Look, I get the man likes certain actors, but come on.
