I suspect they're just going to dump the X-Men fully formed in the classic 90's Animated line-up--from the same alternate universe Rambeau ended up in--right into the audience's lap all at once . . . and then maybe kill them all off in Secret Wars or Doomsday or something, only to have a post credit scene with the "real" MCU incarnation of Charles & Erik and/or Logan, teasing their solo movie. Not sure what I base that suspicion on exactly; I could be wildly off-base.

Yeah -- it would be a little weird to bring back Patrick Stewart, then Kelsey Grammer, then Hugh Jackman, only to recast everyone else.
I do find it weird that they're focusing so much on the legacy versions of the X-Men characters instead of introducing their own new versions of them first. It's been fun seeing them again, but it feels like kind of a weird way to bring the X-Men into the MCU, especially since they're not really introducing them, they're just showing up.

Honestly, I always thought that the "what you wanted more?" line referred to the Netflix heroes more than anything else, and they would have been a much more natural fit.

Also Agents of SHIELD. Many of us were clamoring for at least Coulson and Daisy.

I choose to believe that they all were there, just not where the camera was pointing.

I just heard a rumor that Marvel is targeting Jenna Ortega for a movie role. I think I already know who she would be perfect for. That would be Kitty Pryde.

#MarvelStudios' X-MEN plans are "still pretty fluid," says creative executive Nate Moore:"We want to start sprinkling in these things so that it doesn't feel like you're going to drink from a fire hose when that movie comes."(via

If I were Marvel Studios, I would did an X-Men anthology television/streaming series, a handful of episodes a year over a few years. An episode each focused on the origins of a character or two, allowing for a slow introduction and character development.

Although people on the social medias are only posting images of her from the Saturday Night Live sketch in which Ortega played a knockoff Rogue character.

Do they need origins? Part of the reason Stan Lee came up with the mutant idea was so that he didn't have to come up with separate origin stories for all the characters, because they were just born that way.

Besides, X-Men Evolution started out introducing one new team member per episode, and its first season was sluggishly paced and rather boring. So I'm skeptical that a slow introduction is the way to go.

I can't see them doing something like that, the X-Men are a more known as a team, and they're going to want to make their introduction a huge event, so I'm pretty sure it's going to be a movie.

The X-Men are a lot like the FF though. We met the original team in one issue and Magento too. The
All-New team is also introed in a single issue as well.

The usual approach is to begin an X-Men series by having a new member join the established team and serve as an audience surrogate as they learn about it -- Jean Grey in the original comics, Kitty Pryde in the "Pryde of the X-Men" pilot, Jubilee in the '90s animated series, Rogue and Wolverine in the live-action movie, Nightcrawler in X-Men Evolution.

I just hope they don't wuss out and make it the 90s team lineup. I want either the 80s team or 70s team

60s or 70s for me. From Jean Grey to Kitty Pryde*

*Yes, I know she was introduced in 1980. I might push the cut off to 81, for Rogue fans. ;)

There have been claims for a long time that Ortega will be included in Marvel.

I didn't know this until the other day when I was watching John Campea but it seems like she has already been in the MCU. She played the Presidents daughter in Iron Man 3. I got to say it would be cool if when they hire her they say her new character and this old role were the same person.

I'm assuming with the X-Men, they'll probably give us at least a few of the big names like Cyclops, Wolverine, and Storm, but it would be nice to get some characters we haven't gotten as often mixed in there too.

I knew because I follow Ortega's fan accounts on social media.
