Isn't the appeal of a Defenders story though being about focusing on street level heroes instead of ones with big time powers? I mean some would have some powers but Hulk and Dr Strange seem overpowered for such a show.

Dr. Strange, Namor and Hulk were the original Defenders with Silver Surfer joining a little later. Street Level Defenders (which would have been a good name) were the Heroes for Hire/Power Man and Iron Fist--although "street level" in the comic book sense.

I suppose it comes down to which version would be best in terms of story. I kind of prefer them to go with the street level stuff just as a means of being more different from the Avengers.

Might have either premiered on TV somewhere, or be an online exclusive thing. A lot of the time they call that kind of thing a "special look" instead of a trailer.

"Marvel Knights" was an imprint used for some of Marvel's street level heroes. Though never used as a team name, even when they teamed up.

I thought it was an imprint that was a little more mature and serious than others, judging by the 12-issue Spider-Man miniseries Mark Millar & Terry Dodson did under the Marvel Knights heading.

No, there was a team as well. I don't recall if they explicitly used the name in story or if it was just the title of the book, but it did exist for a while.

Jeff Sneider is not a very reliable journalist anymore. But sometimes what he says turns out to be true, so I wanted to share it.
