What grade would you give the Marvel Cinematic Universe? (Ever-Changing Question)

I wish they had show a little less of the assignation attempt. I actually wish they didn't even show Bradley being the shooter at all.

I am not sure. It was in the last two ones I saw. Would the MCU have a red band trailer? I thought that was just for rated R movies to show characters being nude or saying naughty words.

A thankful change of subject.

Could this be Sam Wilson's equivalent of The Winter Soldier?

I sure damn hope so.

That's going to be rollicking good fun.

The said, it  is weird how Taskmaster's showcase in the trailer barely shows her and doesn't reveal face at all.

From Reddit:
What if...? Season 3 will consist of 8 Episodes, some of which will be:

  • Mech Avengers - The new Avengers (Captain America/Sam Wilson, Monica Rambeau, Moon Knight, Shang-Chi, Bucky etc) will suit up in Mech Suits to fight an army of Gamma Monsters. Fury and the Skrulls are also set to appear in the episode
As great as all of that sounds, it does feel like they're biting off more than they can chew. It feels like two premises smooshed into one. But I'll keep an open mind and hopefully I'm wrong here.

Also, I'm a little sad that the place we finally get more Moon Knight is part of an ensemble in a potentially overstuffed episode. And probably not voiced by Oscar Isaac.

  • Unreleased Red Guardian and Winter Soldier Team-Up Episode from Season 2, also featuring SHIELD Agent Bill Foster chasing after them in a mission in Las Vegas.
  • Captain Carter/Kahhori follow-up episode
Hell, yeah. I can't wait for both of those!

  • Continuation of the Season 1 Episode "What if Thor was an only child?"
Huh, of all of the episodes to follow up on, I'm surprised that's the one.

  • Western-inspired Episode with Shang-Chi and Kate Bishop
Not sure what that will entail but I'm all for more Shang-Chi and Kate Bishop.

  • What if the Eternals didn't stop the Emergence?
Now that sounds interesting! I wonder how many of the Eternals cast will reprise their roles.

It will also feature Agatha Harkness, White Vision, Ironheart, Mysterio, and a Mjolnir-wielding Storm!
More the merrier! Hopefully all of the original actors.

...wait. Mjolnir-wielding Storm!?

One thing I thought was interesting in the trailer was that Ross almost looked confused and scared in the scene where he's transforming into Red Hulk, which makes me wonder if him becoming a Hulk was an involuntary thing that he wasn't aware of at first.
I noticed that, too. All part the master puppetry.

So while D23 Brazil is going on, Feige dropped a couple of updates.

The source for these is apparently this article here:

X-Men are going to be pushed up in the MCU after Secret Wars. Which does align with the speculation that the next saga is "The Mutant Saga" or somesuch.

Feige wants to do MCU-Miles Morales at some point after the third Spiderverse movie. Which I also wonder if that soft confirms that Miles...is not going to appear in MCU-Spidey 4.

Feige assures that...no, Blade has not been canceled. Which...yeah we'll see.
None of that is surprising (except the Blade film but that's a shrug for me). I honestly didn't expect Miles in the next Spidey film. In fact, I fully expected them to finish the Spider-Verse films before introducing him into live action.

They showed to much in the Captain America movie trailer. I hate how trailers do that these days. At least they didn't give away the whole plot of the movie.
Not necessarily. Maybe they're showing what we already expected but still hiding a few surprises. For instance, we still haven't gotten a glimpse of The Leader's full appearance or who exactly Giancarlo Esposito is playing.

Probably trying to duck some internet complaints with Taskmaster now being a women character.

You misspelled assassination. He was making a joke about that.

They already announced Esposito is playing Sidewinder, the head of the Serpent Society.
Yup, I completely forgot that.

Still, we don't know what kind of role his character will play in this film, regardless any kind of comic history he may or may not have with Sam, Captain America, etc.

We also don't know if any other members of the Society will appear.

I was not talking about "bad episodes" I was talking when they've done silly or weirder stuff, like Q-Pid, or Trials and Tribbleations (two of my absolute favorite episodes) going to the other extreme The Thaw. Hell, in the first season SNW gave us a fairy tale episode, so they'd already gone given us one crazy episode before Subspace Rhapsody. Personally I'm this becomes a tradtiona and we get at least one crazy episode like them every season.

I was actually pretty impressed with the quality of the songs and the casts singing.

Q-Pid wasn't that fantastical, and Q being the reason for it made sense. They even make fun of the weird elements, like with Worf destroying the Lute. The DS9 Tribbles episode wasn't silly, it was a fun time travel episode that fit the tone of most Trek episodes that aren't specifically drama stories. The Thaw was absolute shit, even by the lower standards of Voyager, but even it had logic (it all took place on a mental "holodeck"). That Fantasy SNW episode was also trash, but again had at least some justification that fits Star Trek and wasn't just "magic did it", and it didn't have a bunch of less then stellar voices singing awful songs.

The musical episode was the same stupid magic nonsense as the burn in Discovery, its like elements of a bad modern Doctor Who episode got stuck into Star Trek.

A thankful change of subject.

Thats a pretty good trailer. Honestly though I'm in no mood for a political thriller right now, what with the actual world looking more like its HYDRA controlled every day. I'm sure it will be a good movie, but I don't think I'll be rushing out to see it, mostly through no fault of its own.

Allegedly his charatcer was added in reshoots.

I'll give them this, I think What If... has been extremely mediocre and I didn't even bother with season 2, but I'll at least watch the episode that the ending clip is from.

I'm definitely more interested in this, although I hope we don't get much screen time wasted on Ghost (hopefully she's the redshirt of the movie) and I'm wary about "Bob".
