He is? In the comics, he's a banker, according to the wiki.
He is, and the original d23 leaked trailer footage shows brief snippets of Matt, not Daredevil, stopping a bank robbery, including a different shot of Yusef.

I was actually surprised to see the actor back at all, let alone in a non-Ms. Marvel project, given some of the allegations against him some time back. But looking into it now, all we have are anonymous Twitter allegations, and it would seem that nothing has come of it since the first news of it. Also, it would seem that none of the major Hollywood trades ever picked up on it.

I totally forgot about those accusations. It's always so hard with those kinds of anonymous accusations to know how legitimate they are. I would like to think someone has looked into it and would have done something if they found any evidence they were true.

I was surprised too.

Most recent thing I found: https://www.comicbasics.com/marvel-fans-outraged-that-the-studio-is-bringing-back-one-actor/

Either this was filmed beforehand, or they really did investigate?

From the same article:

One particular episode that’s already creating buzz is a musical inspired by the screwball comedies of 1930s Hollywood. Filled with extensive dance sequences, this episode marks the most choreography Marvel has ever attempted. “It’s a massive feat for animation,” Chauncey noted, “especially with the challenges of coordinating dance and movement. But Marvel went all in, and it’s going to be spectacular.”

Color me curious to see this one play out!

I didn't bother with What If Season 2 and it looks like I'll be skipping season 3 as well. Fuck every show, that isn't a musical show, that does a musical episode. Basing it on movies that no one under 70 watch willingly is certainly a choice.

Well, its got to be better then Strange New World's musical episode at the very least. For me thats the rock bottom of musical episodes (although Xena's first one and the Flash/Supergirl Arrowverse one are also nearly as terrible)

You're kidding right? Subspace Rhapsody was amazing, easily one of my favorite episodes of the entire series so far and right up there with Buffy and Scrubs as a fantastic musical episode. I've been dying for a Star Trek musical since the pre-streaming shows, and that was everything I'd hoped it would be.
All seems to have gone quiet on the Tenoch Huerta story too
Yeah that one surprises me, since he was a lot more high profile than Mohan Kapur.
I would like to think that these stories disappeared because people found out they weren't true, but I know that isn't always the case.

I agree with you on this. I do my best to presume innocence until multiple unrelated sources come out with similar accusations.

Star Trek doing a musical was a complete embarrassment, the Robin Hood episode had more dignity (and was actually entertaining). Even if the music hadn't been shit it would have been one of the worst Trek episodes ever made. I'd have rather have watched another "Spock having stupid sitcom bullshit with T'Pring" episode then a musical episode, and I hate the T'Pring episodes of SNW.

Also, "dying" for a Star Trek musical episode? Thats like watching Game of Thrones while waiting for it to have an episode were aliens show up, or wanting a legitimate Zombie Apocalypse episode of Law & Order, some things don't make sense for certain shows. Now no show outside of crap like Glee or Galavant should have musical episodes anyway, but Star Trek makes almost no sense even ignoring that.

I agree. It's easily on any top 10 list of the modern era of Star Trek. If a franchise that's approaching a thousand entries can't take a chance and do something drastically different once in a while, then what's the freaking point? It was certainly wildly successful by any standard other than, "ew, musical".
