Cassie Lang, America Chavez, Riri Williams and Ms. Marvel are all either members of the Young Avengers or Champions in the comics, so I have a feeling if they join a team it'll be the Young Avengers or Champions.I'd say Ms. Marvel would be a better fit than Captain Marvel, given Danvers is too OP (not to mention not a great character). She could fit the kid role opened up by Peter Parker's absence (if indeed he sits at least Doomsday out). There's also Shuri, Cassie Lang, America Chavez, Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk), Valkyrie, Riri Williams, and any number of potential Asgardians and sorcerers.
Also, Pepper could be the organization's business leader (though Paltrow's willingness to return could mess with that). Finally, anytime is a good time to scour the multiverse for a Gwen Stacy Spider-Woman (Emma Stone).
The notion that Carol Danvers should be a primary Avenger in the next movie by default due to her being the only available woman is, in short, rubbish.
If they really don't feel comfortable with them being the Young Avengers, they could call them the Champions since that's a pretty similar team in the comics. Although there's a long history of people in their 30s playing teenagers, so it's not totally unreasonable to still use the Young Avengers name even if one or two of them are a little older. At what point are these Young Avengers not really young anymore?
If we're going to be getting movies with the two teams at the same time, they're going to need someway to differentiate them. I guess if they want to they could always have them move to LA and make them the West Coats Avengers.Branding aside, is there any reason the MCU couldn't just call them Avengers, the successors to the original generation?
Of course, they would always be Young Avengers in relation to the OG Avengers, so that could justify the name.
I'm not to surprised after all of the delays and problems they've been having with it.Blade has been removed from Marvel’s 2025 calendar. Insert gif of Wesley Snipes saying he’s the only Blade.
