I'm not saying I want it to happen, but technically they could bring RDJ in as a variant of Tony without undoing his death. Same goes for Nat.

A trailer dropped tonight for a Blade GAME. I don't think the games are generally *MCU* but I wanted to post this here anyway.

Smallville has invaded Marvel's domain. As apart of Disney+'s merger with HULU, Smallville is in the house of the mouse.

I'm terrified what's going to happen when Superman becomes public domain.

When Superman goes to public domain it'll be when they entered the public domain.

No flying and No daily planet

Still. Give it some time, and those elements will eventually fall into the Public Domain too.

What does that matter? Once Superman goes public domain, other people besides DC/WB will be limited to stories about the elements that are public, but DC/WB itself will still have access to all of it. (Assuming Warner Bros. survives the ongoing disaster of its current management.)

I look forward to the adventures of John and Mary Kent's son at the Daily Star where he can be harangued by George Taylor.

The name "John Kent" wasn't coined until the 1948 retelling of the origin. Ma Kent was first named Mary in 1939, while the 1942 George Lowther novel, the radio series, and the George Reeves series called them Eben and Sarah, and the first Kirk Alyn serial in 1948 went with Eben and Martha.

Everytime it seems like some significant property is about to enter the public domain the can gets kicked down the road by a government legislative body changing the copyright/public domain lengths.

Wasn't LOTR about to become public domain in Canada and the parliament rewrote the law?

I knew this was coming.

If WB/DC doesn't have the influence to get them to change the laws about public domain when Superman's time comes, I can almost guarantee you Disney will when it's Mickey Mouse's turn.
