It's a bit confused - AIM is set up as a govt funded thinktank but at the same time Killian wants to profit from warfare ![]()
I don't see the contradiction. When have governments and profiteering military contractors not gone hand in hand?

The desires of many humans. He might've tried to market Extremis soldiers, but his primary objectives were control, power, and recognition.

This is well known, even by some military service members, that war can be a very profitable business.
The desires of many humans.
It establishes them being needed.Except the story sets them up as government funded so why would it be profitable for them? There is no connection made in the story to direct revenue streams or even bigger appropriations.

And the villains in the first two MCU Spider-Man films were both motivated by Tony Stark, to some degree. The villains in all three Iron Man movies desperately wanted to be Tony Stark.
That was my problem with them. Doing it in IM1 was fine but having it happen thrice was a bit much.
How is that any different from how Batman keeps fighting psychopaths who are "twisted reflections" of himself?
It can be argued that part of the expected slowdown next weekend with the opening of Disney/Marvel Studios’ The Marvels stems from the studio’s inability to promote the pic properly at Comic-Cons. Even if the strike settles this weekend, it’s not clear whether the pic’s cast will be able to attend the movie’s “fan event” in Las Vegas this coming week. It would not be shocking if we see The Marvels charting one of the lowest openings for a Marvel Studios movie next weekend in November with less than $70M –lower than 2021’s The Eternals ($71.2M)— the movie not only a sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel, but also a crossover from the Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel (and WandaVision). Presales for The Marvels are pacing behind that of Black Adam and The Flash (those respective openings at $67M and $55M).
These rumors keep coming back. But I need to see it to actually believe it
Well I don't think marvels will bomb although it may not do well but I suspect it's partially due to the strike limiting advertising. However i won't jump to doom and gloom yer
It could overperform but presales are generally a fairly good indicator of performance - it would need great legs just to break even. We'll see next weekend.
Pre sales really are not a good indicator. Text every one you know right now and ask if they pre-buy cinema tickets. 9 out of 10 will say no. It is the biggest load of bulliest bull crap ever.
