Now that's news to end a weekend on. Excellent. I like how cryptic he was about the when and where, which leaves open the possibility that may be very soon indeed if some rumors prove to be true. But I'd honestly not been holding my breath even though I desperately wanted this to be the case and now I can rest easy.

Now save Donofrio as Wilson Fisk and all is once again right again in the MCU as far as I'm concerned. (And yes, I know that's also a particularly viable possibility in light of Hawkeye on D+. Still won't believe it until I see it with my own eyes or we get comments like this to that effect.)

Actually, although I've been heavily agnostic on the subject of his return, I think this quote makes it far more probable than just possible that he will appear very soon (like sometime in the next year - maybe two years at the most).

I don't see a professional like Feige making a statement like this that matter of factly, with zero wiggle room, unless there's already a contract in place.

True. You don't announce that someone will be playing a role unless you know they will be.

I'm guessing we'll get Kingpin in the mid/post-credits scene in the last episode of Hawkeye, then both of them in Echo.

Henrich Zemo was the World War II era genius who invented adhesive X.

His son Helmut, founder of the Thunderbolts, rearered up in the 70s to avenge his father's spoiled legacy by tricking Captain America into jumping into a vat of Adhesive X, by jumping into the vat of adhesive X first.

Unfortunately HELMUT forgot to wear his HELMET, his airtight, hot glue tight, with a rebreather, protective headgear, and his face melted off, because he might be a moron.

Helmut is our MCU antagonist.

I thought you were referring to the elder Zemo.

If he really wanted to get fan appreciation he could have announced that if Danny Rand or the Ironfist ever appears again in the MCU he will never be played by Finn Jones :D

I saw something about Marvel trying to get Jennifer Henwick back but she turned them down for The Matrix. I never bothered to watch season 2 of Iron Fist but I heard she became it at the end. I'd be all for her returning and Finn Jones being forgotten.

From what I've heard, they wanted Jessica Henwick to play Xialing in Shang-Chi.

So she could overshadow another of Marvel's Masters of Martial Arts and make everyone wish the movie was about her?

I like Simu but he doesn't have a 10th of her charisma or appeal.

Did anyone watch this week's film theory? I just played it. The main theory was quite the stretch (one of his bigger ones, and that's saying something) but he did have one interesting bit that jumped out at me - that the voices of her sons that Wanda heard calling to her for help at the end of Wandavision? They seemed a lot like the way the Dweller in the Darkness pretended to be The Mandarins wife. It may have been him calling out to her.

Here's what Henwick told Entertainment Weekly:

She ultimately sided with The Matrix because it felt like a rare moment. "I've had a great working relationship with Marvel," Henwick says of playing Colleen in Iron Fist. "I've obviously done Marvel TV, so I was already in the universe. I knew that joining The Matrix is not an opportunity that you get every day. Lana has had so many offers to make more Matrix films. I just knew it was now or never. Whereas, obviously, Marvel is a huge, wonderful company that makes films very, very regularly."

So she is still interested in returning to Marvel. She just knows she'll probably get more opportunities later on, which was not the case with The Matrix.
