Don't really want to open up this can of worms again, but I think all they have to do is remove the dialogue from that sequence and then it flows naturally with the action. I think there would have been much less complaining.

You mean remove the line "Avengers Assemble"? I don't know, I like scenes that pander to fans of the comics.

Just a 100% unofficial rumor, so I won't even bother with a link, but I saw something that said Marvel was looking at Shia LaBeouf for Iceman in the MCU version of the X-Men.

I'm actually perfectly okay with that. Shia would make a pretty good Iceman.

(Also, Peanut Butter Falcon is a movie totally worth watching.)

Even without COVID delaying everything, it's waaaaay too early to believe that they're working on bringing in any of the X-Men into the MCU.

If they plan out (roughly) a decade's worth of movies, I don't think it's early at all for the planning of these things.
Sure, but they announced a large portion of at least five years at Comic Con last year and X-Men weren't even mentioned. Only Fantastic Four got name checked "some time down the road."

I'm not saying they aren't planning it, but I seriously doubt that they're at the casting point, especially with COVID going on.

I tend to agree, but to be fair we don't know for sure these characters won't show up before an X-men film proper. There could be mutants in CM2, BP2, Blade, FF, AM3, etc. Not all of them, obviously, and Iceman strikes me as unlikely to get an early cameo and unlikely to be cast quite so old. But they could theoretically be starting to search for some of these characters.

Given his age it would appear they are looking at some kind of 'merged' universe thing where the X-men/mutants appear and are already established and been around.

Yeah, if they were going to introduce an X-Man early, Iceman is pretty low down on the list of individuals I'd expect to see.
The obvious choice would be Wolverine, with characters like Professor X, Magneto, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, or Beast as other possibilities.

Yeah, that's a possibility, I agree, but I still think it's unlikely. I'd love to be wrong but I don't see it happening.

I would love to finally get to see the Most Wanted pilot.
Did they actually film a pilot for New Warriors? I didn't think they ever made it past the writing stage.

Didn't Damage Control also get a filmed pilot before it didn't go to series? Or am I misremembering how far it got?

That's another one I would love to watch and I'm still bummed it didn't work out (and I haven't even read the comics).

I am a little surprised we haven't seen more of these high profile pilots made available to watch online, or DVD extras, or something like that. I understand the people responsible felt they weren't good enough to go to series, but even if they're bad, there's probably still a lot of people that would watch them.

In the light of the sad death of Chadwick Boseman, I really do hope Marvel kill the character as a mark of respect. T'Challa just should not be recast.

I've got no problems with a Carrie Fisher / Paul Walker style farewell if it could be done well, but no one else should be play the role.

Let Shuri take the mantle.
