Interesting gloves. The upper half of the costume does remind me a bit of the Corman FF costumes:

Based on Byrne’s “negative “ costumes.

Much brighter colors the the usual MCU pallet. Even Cap’s isn’t as bright. Not too keen on the white on the sleeves.

The four reminds me of this

Fantastic Four: First Steps update. A brief hello message from the cast was shown. Joseph Quinn is in his suit.

Looking at the set decorations, I'm reminded of my grandparents houses; forever stuck in the late-50s/early-60s.

Love the new Fantastic Four suit, it's very retro.
I'm really disappointed that we aren't getting to Daredevil: Born Again trailer online.
Agatha All Along is looking fantastic, and while Down The Witches Road is pretty good, I don't think it's quite as catchy as Agatha All Along (the song) was.

Marvel's video of The Ballad of The Witches' Road performance

They also released an almost 10 minute video with highlights from the Marvel part of the Disney Entertainment Showcase, but they skipped over the trailers and other big reveals and announcements. (This also includes the Witches' Road performance)

Daredevil Born Again footage shown at D23 last night. Get some before Disney takes it away. I saw the Fantastic Four test footage the day after SDCC, and it was gone within hours.

Damn, I just keep missing out, don't I?

It's the animation panel/day
Ah, that's what I was thinking of, thank you.

And damn, I really thought we'd hear more about other upcoming projects like Armor Wars, VisionQuest, and Wonder Man (among others) this weekend.

I've never quite got this business with the trailers. Once it's out they should just release it rather than having impressions made from shitty oft-kilter phone cam videos that WILL make it out to the internet. Seems smarter than going out to ban the internet.

Much like SDCC It’s a perk/priviledge of being able to attend the event in person.

If they just released everything online there would be no motivation to go and attend

“Meh. I’ll just stay home and wait an hour till they release it online”

Yes, but I've seen it pointed out that it's strange that they maintained such tight security about the trailers at SDCC only to let people record them on their phones at D23 a couple of weeks later. The reason they don't release the trailers right away is clear enough; the puzzling thing is their inconsistency about it.

And that's my issue with it: Privilege. There are plenty of people such as myself who would love to go but can't because of financial, geographical, health, or other issues.

I'm fine with exclusive sneak peaks (such as the Thunderbolts* footage and the Fantastic Four segment) remaining at the conventions, but not proper trailers.

Or my biggest sticking point: The panels themselves. When COVID happened, the two subsequent Comic-Cons were virtual and everyone had full access. If it wasn't an issue then for full panels, why not now? Outside of SDCC, I've seen many other conventions being more open and willing to release panels online, free of charge, but not SDCC.

Again, I'm fine with exclusive content (limited, early footage, etc.) remaining with the attendees. There's also all of the in-game items for various Marvel games (Contest of Champions, Snap, Puzzle Quest, etc.) that attendees rightfully gain access to. And that's before you get to all of the exclusive physical content attendees get (free or otherwise).

So I disagree on the notion that gatekeeping full trailers to attendees is the driving force for people to go to conventions. And that's before you even get to cosplaying (not something im into but fully appreciate why others love it and love seeing from others).

I can understand not releasing all of the full panels online, since just streaming everything would kind of defeat the whole point of even having a convention like this, but I do agree on the trailers. Only because they're just going to be leaked and all of entertainment news sites do a detailed analysis, so everybody is going to know exactly what's in it anyways, so hiding it seems kind of pointless. I could maybe see if they kept tighter security to stop anybody from recording them, and forbid anybody posting any kind of a description, since that would at least keep it more a secret for the people who get to see it. And there's the fact that the randomly release some of them online and then not others, to me it should be an all or none kind of thing.

Vincent D'onofrio has really lost a lot of weight. Couldn't have been healthy to actually be as heavy as he was even it looked more like like a comic book version of Kingpin.

I seem to recall seeing in the Echo making-of special that he wore a fat suit as Kingpin. Or maybe "muscle suit" is more accurate, since Fisk's bulk is supposed to be mostly muscle.

He was quite big in Jurassic World as well, but I can't recall if that was filmed during his Daredevil work. As someone who lost about 40kg of weight, but also went way too far in the weight loss, I am sometimes shocked with what some actors will do to their bodies for roles. I am quite happy that Ridley Scott insisted make up and effects were used to make Matt Damon look so thin at the end of the Martian.
