You're comparing a work by of one of the greatest filmmakers of all time to crap like "Secret Invasion"?

I LIKED Secret Invasion, I don't get why it was hated like it was. They were never going to adapt the original comic story, and the original story wasn't even that good to begin with.

Yeah even if people disliked it or thought it wasn't an accurate adaptation, I can understand that. But people acting like it's awful seems like a stretch

Imo the only awful MCU d+ show is Hawkeye. And isn't even the least accurate adaptation (unlike Ant Man for example)

I loved Hawkeye.
That Hollywood Reporter article was an eye opener, I had no idea the TV side of Marvel was such a mess.
It'll be interesting to see what they end up doing with Daredevil once they can get back to work on it.
Hmm, what the article reveals about Secret Invasion does explain some of it's issues.
It'll be interesting to see how different the new shows turn out with the new approach they're taking.

Really? Ok, I thought Hawkeye was awful. 2 bland heroes who don't learn anything doing generic street level stuff against generic mobsters for muh family

Otoh I don't feel like buying into all this doom and gloom about the mcu. I grew tired of all this negative clickbait and weird complaints from fans

Another big fan of Hawkeye here!

This goes a long way in explaining Secret Invasion's mess. I'm curious to read about Kyle Bradstreet's original intention for the show before he was fired, but not too curious because I might lament not getting it instead of the shit show we got instead.

I followed the production of She-Hulk pretty closely, including several interviews from Gao, so I'm surprised to learn that she had been removed as the showrunner before returning for postproduction. That speaks volumes about Marvel's marketing machine. I know a lot of people have had issues with certain ways the show progressed and ultimately played out, but I firmly maintain the show is excellent from beginning to end.

I'm likewise surprised to learn similar issues occurred with Moon Knight even though that one makes some sense. While I think the show had a lot of great points, it did have some rough edges. Considering how the show ended, I always thought it was intended to have a second season so I'm not sure how that fits with the idea that Marvel was hard focused on limited series instead of multi-seasons (likewise Loki). Maybe they were the exceptions to the rule. Either way, I am glad Marvel appears to moving away from that model.

Which brings us to Daredevil. The show has been my most anticipated one since WandaVision so I'm dismayed that it's already having major issues. I wonder if we'll ever learn more about the original intentions (beyond "legal procedural" heavy) or even seeing some of said footage (considering how little we've learned about Solo's original form, I'm guessing not much).

Idk I thought moon knight and she Hulk were pretty good (better than FaWS or Hawkeye)

I didn't realize there were so many bts issues though, sadly

Clint Barton has been one of my favorite Marvel character going back to Avengers, and Yelena Belova and Kingpin are also both favorites. And I really like Kate a lot too. And as a big supporter of more representation for both Native Americans and people with disabilities, I loved that Alaqua Cox was both Native American and dead.

I don't know if I'd call this doom and gloom from the fans this is coming from The Hollywood Reporter, one of the most trusted sources of entertainment industry news out there. So if they say things were this bad, they really were.

Ok. I hate watching Clint. He lurches from insta-plot point throughout the mcu with nary an interesting personality. I especially disliked the random Ronin subplot and how he faces no lasting consequences

Plus Kate is an annoying fangirl who never learned anything and Yelena is an equally discount Natasha. I like there being better representation for Native Americans and deaf people but not just as disposable villains to absolve the angry white vigilante cliché. I hope Maya does better in her own show.

I thought it was but I've seen a lot of clickbait these last few years so it's made me wary of news sites when it comes to entertainment. I always avoided too much hype but now I see too much anti hype too

Hawkeye was largely breezy fun to me. Loki Season 2's premiere last week felt more muddled and less interesting than the raucous Season 1 cliffhanger but I still came away from it satisfied (mostly). I can't wait to see where the rest of Season 2 goes, and since the post-credits sequence of Quantumania shows Loki and Mobius in late 19th century America monitoring Victor Timely I'm looking forward to seeing more of that specific time trip and the outcome.

I don't see how Hawkeye was breezy fun. I found it dull and it's humor childish

Loki, otoh, is great. It's actually something new
