Well aside from the obvious trees being reconfigured, the first thing that jumps out at me is that they replaced the actual footage of water with a simulation. That tells me that there's either something in that reflection they want gone, or something else have been added to the the shot that needs to be reflected in it (it's easier to replace the whole thing than try and seamlessly paint in/out a small detail.) Indeed the same "thing" might be the reason for the rearranged trees too, as it's a lot easier to track and pull a clean matte if you have more direct control over what's "behind" it.

I think it's a safe bet that this scene is going to end up in 'Dr Strange 2', but then I'd already assumed that when the show aired anyway. Indeed it may be THE opening shot.

For the record, I didn't notice anything in the still photograph. I noticed what he's talking about when I went on to Disney + and actually watched the scene.

Floating in from the left there is what appears to be an ethreal astral body. Like when Doctor Strange projects his astral form out of his body.

Truthfully, I don't recall see that first image. I only ever remember seeing the thicker tree scenery, especially after rewatching that scene just now.

Huh, I don't see that at all. Are you sure you're just seeing something you want to see and not something actually?

Watched it twice.

Ah, I was looking at the wrong spot (you should've just said look at the mountains specifically instead making me watch some YouTuber).

Normally, I'd say that's graphical error but it does have the shape of a person with a cape and it does move along the screen (although that's hard to tell unless you track it with your finger directly on the screen).

Still, it does seem like it's a weird thing to add at this point, especially since the effect looks more like a camera artifact that someone astral projecting.
