One of the Sony's people at ExpoCine 2020 said we will be getting our first look at the third Spider-Man movie in December, and that they are still aiming for the December 17, 2021 release date.

There had been rumors that they were going for a Jewish actor (or Israeli actor) so that's slightly disappointing, but he'll be a great choice no matter what.
