It looks like the Black Widow movie might be out in 2020. If true that means it will have taken the character 10 years to finally get a solo movie. This is really sad when you consider that Spider-Man and Black Panther both managed to get solo movies less than 2 years after they were introduced.

Blame Ike Perlmutter, he shot down all attempts at female led movies or female villains until Disney had him removed from the Movie side of things.

Well, the difference is that both those characters were introduced with the specific intention of setting up their subsequent solo films. There was no such intention when BW was introduced in Iron Man 2, and frankly, her appearance there wasn't impressive enough to generate much interest in a solo film (well, her appearance in the physical sense was incredibly impressive, but not so much her characterization). It wasn't until The Avengers that she really blossomed as a worthwhile character who was more than just eye candy. Although I agree that it's taken way too long since then for her to get her own film.

They should have done a Black Widow solo film in 2013 instead of the pointless and very skippable Iron Man 3.
They wouldn't have made nearly as much box office money on a Black Widow movie than they did on an Iron Man movie coming off of The Avengers. Honestly, I think the timing is right for this.

I don't make any money off of these movies, so that doesn't matter to me. IM3 added nothing to the MCU and Black Widow should have gotten a movie years ago.

That was a great trailer. I love that Hope called Scott out on not getting her help in Civil War.
Hank shrinking the building and taking it with him was awesome.

Looks like the sequel will be just as much as fun as the original. I also loved seeing Hope call out Scott about not asking for her help...and saying he wouldn't have gotten caught if she was there. Plus, Hank withholding tech from Scott so he could give it exclusively to his daughter was also a nice touch.

I guess they're saving Janet's appearance for the second trailer.

I wonder if they'll make her the despotic ruler of Microspace and the real villain of the movie...
